Break Down
-Coming in for a landing in the village.
-Welp, looks like the dragons are causing a lot of trouble for the villages.
-S-so much chaos.
-Aaaaaand three o'clock rolls around.
-Ew.
-Mulch and Bucket.
-At least it's better than kill or be killed.
-Dragons are stealing fish now.
-Nnnngh, so much trouble for the rest of the day.
-Mildew coming in to complain about dragons again.
-Maybe built Mildew's house far away to not deal with him.
-Huh.
-Dragons are causing a lot of problems.
-So snarky Gobber.
-Poor Bucket and getting brain scrambled by dragons.
-Mildew wants dragons in cages.
-BUT REALLY IT'S NOT THAT BAD!
-Dad being pressured to solve the problem.
-Seriously considers this problem, d-dad dere.
-Suggests a bunch of solutions that...won't really work.
-So snarky Gobber.
-How about you leave it to me?
-I am totally the best man for the job.
-And can totally be a man if you give me the chance!
-Hell yeah got a chance.
-Okay, now I just need to get the dragons in line!
-Train them one by one and get them to understand!
-Okay, this seems to be wor-
-This is not working at all.
-CHAOS!
-ALL THE CHAOS OF TRYING TO KEEP DRAGONS UNDER CONTROL
-AND BURNING SHEEP
-Help me out Toothless.
-Aaaaaand it's three.
-......ew.
-The rest of the day doesn't go better.
-Even the dragon pities me.
-Astrid saw all that, lovely.
-Aaaaaand dad isn't happy.
-Lying through my teeth again.
-I TOTALLY HAVE A PLAN.
-Just complex.
-Yeah, no plan.
-Mildew has stirred up the whole island.
-No one is taking any dragon heads.
-...
-Well
-If the others are willing to help
-We can train dragons in the Kill Ring!
-Instead of in the village.
-Dragons not so happy to be in the Kill Ring...
-...Fishlegs, how do you know Meatlug lost a cousin here. =|a
-...so dad may not have given us the arena. >_>
-Let's not talk about me going behind my father's back.
-BUT THIS IS FOR THE GREATER GOOD!
-We just gotta help the dragons learn how to live with humans.
-Let's deal with the dragons eating everything problem.
-Scratch under the chin, makes them let go of what they have in their mouth.
-....Snotlout and Hookfang...
-Training training training
-Now to test it out with the other dragons
-...where are the other dragons?
-And something exploded FFFFFFFFF
-Oh no, not the food stores
-We have nothing left for the Freeze.
-FFFFFFFFFFFFFF
-I CAN FIX THIS REALLY
-...not helping Toothless.
-Six months to catch all that fish.
-Dad needs to focus on feeding the whole village, not dealing with the dragon problem.
-MILDEW SHUT UP
-Ffffff, everyone agrees.
-Caging tonight and...and I have to send them all away tomorrow.
-D= D= D=

Meaning
Well, Mildew is still in the village. And hating dragons. SO CLEARLY THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT GETS SOLVED.

Not sure...how yet.

And kind of worried about how they handled the freeze. We didn't get a bunch of people starving to death, did we?

This would be another memory that just hits Rider in the confidence. He was SO CONFIDENCE that he could handle the dragons, but that didn't work. It didn't work fast enough. Even if he's pretty sure the whole thing WILL get solved, the fact it got that bad is very disheartening. Though it also brings up a problem for Rider to notice which is a Hiccup problem. The asking for help problem. Hiccup is not good with that. Rider...isn't particularly good at it either. But in a way it's good to see because it encourages him to still keep reaching out to others.

Sometimes it's hard to ask for help, but you should! Especially for a big problem.

...especially when you don't have a solid plan.

So sometimes winging it ISN'T the best policy.
